Visthapit Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 1986 at Balidih, Bokaro Steel City -Jharkhand. It is spread over nearly 7 Acres of lush green land. It is a degree college affiliated to the Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad. The College Registered under Section 2(F) & 12(B) of U.G.C., New Delhi, Managed by Chas Bokaro Vikash Samiti, Chas, Bokaro, Registered under society Act-21 of 1860 (Registration No. : 414/82/-83).

The college has a unique academic atmosphere chiefly characterized by interdisciplinary scholarly interaction and healthy competitive spirit and enthusiasm to excel in various curricular activities. The college has been Accredited by NAAC with B Grade and AN ISO 9001 : 2008 Certified.
