About us

Visthapit Mahavidyalaya was established in the year 1986 at Balidih, Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand. Spread over nearly 7 acres of lush green land, it is a degree college affiliated to the Binod Bihari Mahto Koyalanchal University, Dhanbad. The college is registered under Section 2(F) & 12(B) of U.G.C., New Delhi, and managed by Chas Bokaro Vikash Samiti, Chas, Bokaro, registered under the Society Act-21 of 1860 (Registration No.: 414/82/-83).

The college has a unique academic atmosphere characterized by interdisciplinary scholarly interaction, a healthy competitive spirit, and an enthusiasm to excel in both academics and extracurricular activities. The college has been Accredited by NAAC with Grade B, is an ISO 9001:2008 Certified Institution, and has also been awarded with the National Institute Ranking 2022, which reflects its continuous commitment to quality education.
